Counselling - Carers in transition

Carers Victoria is a member based organisation. It is incorporated under the Victorian Associations Incorporation Act 1981 and is run by a Board voted for by the members. This information sheet outlines what it means to be a member of Carers Victoria.

This booklet answers some of the questions you may have about making a bequest to Carers Victoria and explains how your gift can help support our work with caring families.

Our carer counselling program provides free short term counselling to caring families throughout Victoria. This brochure gives you information about the program, how it can help and how you can access counselling.

Our carer counselling program is part of the National Carers Counselling Program (NCCP). These guidelines outline how the program is run, its outcomes and objectives, who is eligible for the service and the referral process.

Our carer counselling program provides free short term counselling to caring families throughout Victoria. GPs, case managers or support workers can refer carers to the program using this referral and intake form.

Carers Victoria manages a large network of professionally qualified and accredited contract counsellors across Victoria. This EOI form allows counsellors to register for consideration in our next annual review to meet emerging needs or gaps.

Are you caring for a family member or friend with a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, or who is frail aged?

Carers Victoria Respite Connections provides respite and support to caring families living in the Western Metropolitan region of Melbourne. GPs, case managers or support workers can refer carers to our programs using this referral pack.

Our aged care team provides respite and support for families in the Western Metropolitan region of Melbourne who are caring for an older family member who has become frail, suffers a chronic health condition or has dementia.

The Respite Connections disability team provides respite and support for families in the Western Metropolitan region of Melbourne who are caring for a family member who has a disability or chronic illness.

The Respite Connections mental health team provides respite and support for families in the Western Metropolitan region of Melbourne who are caring for a family member who has a mental illness.

The Respite Connections Carers@Work program helps carers in the Western suburbs to arrange flexible respite options so they can stay in or look for paid employment.

Our workshops are offered free to groups of carers and carer support groups across Victoria.

The National Carer Support Services (NCSS) program supports caring families in veteran, ex-service, and defence communities across Australia.
