Carers Victoria is looking for appropriately qualified and/or experienced staff who are interested in working on our state-wide 1800 Carer Advisory Line. 

The Carer Advisory Line and Intake Counsellors focus on assessing and responding to the diverse needs of carers, including the provision of information, support, advocacy and referral primarily to the Carer Counselling Program. We are seeking experienced practitioners with excellent assessment skills who enjoy working predominantly with clients over the telephone.

Executive Assistant

60.8 hours per fortnight (0.8 EFT) 12 months initially

We are seeking a talented and experienced person to support to the Executive Manager, Carer and Community Services.

This position:

  • develops and maintains effective office systems
  • is the point of contact for both internal and external enquiries
  • provides excellent document preparation and management, and
  • attends to work on the Executive Manager’s behalf efficiently and with discretion.

The ideal candidate for this role will posses high level organisational and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, energy enthusiasm and ability to use initiative to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Comprehensive computer skills in the Microsoft office suite are essential.  Sector exposure will be advantageous.
